Polling Station at the Green Man

Thursday 5th May and the Green Man Community Centre is being used as a Polling Station from 7am this morning to 10pm tonight.

Although there are no local elections taking place in East Finchley, today is your chance to take part in the referendum on the voting system. The county is being asked whether it wants to stick with the existing “First Past the Post (FPTP)” voting system or switch to the “Alternative Vote (AV)” voting system. Watch Youtube video which explains the 5 May Referendum.

To find out more about how to vote check out the Electoral Commission website “About my Vote“. It explains everything you need to know about elections and voting in the UK including; how to register to vote, reasons why you should register to vote, and how do you vote. There is even a walkthrough of the voting process which explains what to expect if this is your first time visiting a Polling Station.
