Green Man launches NEW Strawberry Vale Computer Club

Working with Sabrina from Peabody the Green Man are launching the Strawberry Vale Computer Club which will take place on Thursday afternoons between 4pm to 6pm at the centre during July.

Peabody have recently provided the Green Man with eight new computers, along with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 software.

Sabrina and Tibor (our first IT volunteer) will be running the Net Worx Sessions for the first month to help get residents on-line, and it is hoped that during this time we will recruit a couple of volunteers to help keep the club going.

Mark, the Centre Manager said “this is a great opportunity for Green Man to provide access to local residents to the new computers that Peabody have just installed in our computer room. I would really like to see this room open longer hours but it all depends upon whether or not we can get the right volunteers to help us run the project.”

Mark has designed a logo for the new computer club, and a poster that will soon be distributed on the estate to let residents know that the club is being launched.

If your interested in learning more about computers, or volunteering to be involved in the IT Project then please contact Mark at the Green Man or e-mail the computerclub@greenmancentre.org
