East Finchley landslide for Labour Candidate

Labour candidate Arjun Mittra won the East Finchley by-election with a landslide majority last week following the recent resignation of Andrew McNeil earlier this year.

“I feel really honoured to have been elected. I look forward to working with local people to help them get the improvements to the area they need.”

Approximately 28% of registered voters turned out to vote in the by-election. Labour candidate Arjun Mittra won the seat with 2,117 votes, whilst the Conservative candidate Anshul Gupta came second polling 543 votes, and Liberal Democrat candidate Jane Gibson came a close third with 461 votes

The next election is due to take place on Thursday 3rd May, when Londoners will go to the Polls to decide who will be the next Mayor of London. The Green Man Community Centre will again be used as a Polling Station.
